UAB “Kamieninių ląstelių tyrimų centras“ (Stem Cell RC) has successfully implemented EU funded R&D project.

We would like to announce that Stem Cell RC has implemented the project “Development of tissue 3D bioprinting technology using stem cells”, financed according to the Operational Programme for The European Union Funds Investments for 2014-2020, Priority No. 1 “Promotion of scientific researches, experimental development and innovation”, No. J05-LVPA-K “Intelektas. Bendri mokslo – verslo projektai” invitation No 3. Stem Cell RC has received 1.017.065,18 EUR support from the European Union Funds for implementation of the project.

During project implementation Stem Cell RC has developed 3D bioprinting technology which allows to create, model and produce human tissues or organ fragments suitable for both in vitro (drug research, treatment strategy research, create disease bio models) and advanced therapy – for transplantation of artificial tissues or organs.  Implementation of this project will undoubtedly encourage the entire biomedical and biopharmaceutical sector to develop stem cell based advanced therapy drugs or technologies. Also it allows the company to expand its product and service portfolio, successfully commercialize R&D results and become a competitive world-class company.
